1、 Product Features

2、 Product process

The manufacturing process of copper coated steel round wire adopts electroplating technology, which has excellent electrical properties and surface copper material conductivity, making its own resistance value much lower than conventional materials. Excellent and unique anti-corrosion properties, due to the high-temperature fusion welding used at the copper steel bonding interface, there will be no residue or corrosion on the bonding surface; The surface copper layer is relatively thick (average thickness greater than or equal to 0.254mm), with strong corrosion resistance and a service life of more than 50 years, which can greatly reduce the labor intensity of maintenance. 3、 Technical parameters

Surface quality

The copper layer is smooth and flat, without obvious defects or other harmful irregular edges.

Coating thickness

The coating thickness of copper plated round steel and copper plated grounding rod is ≥ 0.254mm.

Size requirements

Circular rod-shaped material with a nominal diameter deviation of ≤± 0.10mm.

Tensile strength

The tensile strength of copper-clad steel is ≥ 300MPa, and the length between the fracture location and the fixture is greater than 25.4mm.

Bending performance

After the bending test, the copper layer of the sample does not show cracks, fissures, pits, or other defects that hinder the corrosion performance of the material.

Combining performance

After the copper layer adhesion test, there is no separation between the copper layer and the steel on the sample, and it is allowed for the surface copper to be peeled off by the test instrument.

Electrical resistivity and conductivity

The resistivity is ≤ 8.62 × 10-8 Ω· m, and the conductivity is ≥ 20%.

Thermal stability coefficient

The thermal stability coefficient C of copper plated round steel and copper plated grounding rod shall not be less than 119, and shall be supported by relevant test reports.

Electrical Corrosion Performance

After type testing (current temperature cycling test, freezing melting test, neutral salt spray test, fault current impulse test), the final resistance increase value of the sample shall not exceed 50%, and the resistance increase of each test link in the intermediate process shall not exceed 15%. After the test, the surface of the copper plated steel sample shall be free of cracks, fissures, pits, bubbles, and other defects that may affect the corrosion performance of the material.

The product testing report includes the following items: surface quality, coating thickness, tensile strength, bending performance, bonding performance, electrical resistivity and conductivity, current temperature cycling test, freezing melting test, neutral salt spray test, fault current impact test, etc.

4、 Product Usage

A horizontal grounding body suitable for high requirements such as working grounding, protective grounding, lightning protection grounding, and anti-static grounding in general environments and special environments where chemical corrosive media are generated in humid, saline alkali, and acidic soils. Copper coated steel has superior mechanical and anti-corrosion properties. It is recommended to use copper coated steel grounding round wires (such as horizontal grounding electrodes in extremely acidic environments) for those with severe corrosion and low mechanical stress requirements. Please use different types of grounding round wires according to the specific situation.
